Jun 15, 2010· Unfortunately there is no way to sharpen a binding machine punching die, but there is a way to help it last longer. Consider this preventative care. I was talking with our Service Technician a few minutes ago and she informed me that there is a way to possibly keep binding punches sharper for a longer period of time.
This in turn will decrease the hole quality and the quantity of holes that can be produced by that punch or die. Therefore, frequent sharpening is by far the least expensive way to produce consistent high quality holes. UniPunch recommends a surface grinder and vee block for quick tooling maintenance.
